Joined eyebrows divide opinion like almost no other feature. One aunt calls the unibrow a mark of luck and guards the child from the threading lady; another wants it split before the next wedding. Folk streams from the subcontinent's other communities add their own cautions, and by now the readings have mingled past separating. Note what the two tellings share: both agree the unibrow means intensity. They disagree only on whether intensity is good news.
